Hi, I’m Theresa.
I’ve been a counsellor for the last ten years, coming into the profession almost by accident as a third career. Counselling felt like it ‘fitted me’ right from the start. I have a passion for enabling others to feel happy with themselves, to feel confident and fulfilled, whatever that may look like for them.
I apply this ethic to myself, seeking out the people, places and experiences that make me happy and enrich my life. It’s not always easy, there are many demands on us in the world we live in and it can be difficult to find a balance that works. Regularly taking the time and space to pause and reflect allows me to stay in tune with what’s most important to me, and invest my energy where it matters most.
Being a counsellor has allowed me the privilege of walking alongside people as they too learn more about themselves, what’s important to to them and how to lead the life they really want.
As a person centred counsellor I firmly believe we all have the ability to grow and reach our potential if we wish to. I strive to provide the conditions to enable you to do this, namely being non judgemental, accepting, genuine and empathic. Enabling you to work at your own pace and with your own agenda to foster autonomy, self-confidence and self-esteem. Contact me to find out how counselling can help you.
Listed below are the core counselling qualifications I have. Alongside these I have over ten years experience working with clients from all walks of life.
